The brief
Cornerstone Café is a fictional family-run café on Market Hill, baking cakes from scratch and pulling espresso from a proper machine every morning.
The brief called for a warm, inviting site that does the simple things well: a clear menu, opening hours up front, a photo gallery that sells the atmosphere, and an easy way for customers to get in touch — all without slowing the site down.
Cornerstone Café is a fictional business created to demonstrate a Starter-tier build — not a real client.
What it demonstrates
Hand-coded with Next.js and Tailwind CSS, hosted on Vercel — no page builders or drag-and-drop templates. Semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and a contrast-checked colour palette throughout.
